Not really, this isn’t the setup for getting the full length of a speech at a special event. Because photography is my priority, I’ll be moving around the room and switching between Canon cameras, employing different lenses to get different angles and reactions as people are speaking and guests are reacting. Mini Video is for short clips that capture the feeling of a certain moment, but not to document a full speech with good synced sound quality. That’s what a videographer provides!
iPhone videos are no replacement for the quality of a professional videographer! The cinematic edit, format for widescreen and synced audio are worth the price because it is a highly technical and valuable art form. iPhone mini videos are a way way wayyyy more casual presentation of wedding day content.
A higher volume and quality of iPhone videos. Because my priority is photography, and recording iPhone videos is a secondary priority, there’s occasionally going to be something candid and cute happening that only gets captured in photo form because I’d miss the moment to also launch video recording as well. Or sometimes the video angle gets bumped and the action recorded out of frame. A fully designated Content Creator will give you the comfort of a guarantee to rewatch it all, because iPhone video recordings will be their sole focus and priority for the day. I’ve found, however, that having video clips of everything interesting across an 8 hour day overwhelming to rewatch.
Please let me know if you have a song that’s meaningful to you for your highlight reel! Popular licensed music is limited to under 1 minute for personal use, so it won’t be the full song. Unlicensed (generic) music has no time limit.
Yes, you can request something to be removed from the Reel if you don’t find it flattering or wish for a special moment to remain private. Please understand that the time consuming part of editing a Reel is tailoring content around song pacing, so please avoid swapping song choices.
48 hours after your event, you’ll receive an offline private sample Reel via text to approve or request changes. When it’s good to go, I’ll load it to Instagram with you and all the vendors tagged, and share as an Instagram Story, or a Reel. If it’s a reel, you’ll get an invitation to be a ‘Collaborator’ which means it posts to your grid upon your approval, and it’s shared to your followers, and any other vendors that accept the Collaborator invitation.
You can decline the invitation if you wish to post it on your own, but many people would rather a glamorous flex be posted on their behalf! It’s called the humble brag! You can also opt out of social media posts and share your online gallery with Mini Video to family and friends directly by a private link. It’s all very flexible! I’m not currently active on TikTok or Facebook, but you can share to those platforms from Instagram.
