Nestled in the hillside of the Southwest Austin area known as Driftwood, there’s a curious looking entrance to a…Wizard Academy?? But instead of Merlins and magic wands, you’ll find a non-traditional business school started by the “wizard of ads”, with unique sculptures and mission style architecture. And yes, you’ve arrived at the right place for Austin’s free wedding venue Chapel Dulcinea!
I’ll be a discreet little photo ninja during your ceremony, so you can focus on the meaningful moment at hand. Then we’ll have some fun moving around the property for a guided portrait session. Yes I will coach you for flattering ways to connect, include movement, good angles and all that! You don’t have to be a professional model to get good photos, just genuine love for each other and Pink Salt Pics!

Chapel Dulcinea Reservation Tips
- FREE Wedding venue rentals are available Mondays through Thursdays with time slots between 8:30am-5:00pm. There is a $200 deposit required, but that will be refunded as long as you use your time slot.
- Check what time the sun sets here! Most photographers would advise morning or late afternoon/evening sessions to avoid the harsh shadows of mid-day sun, but we can make the best of any time slot you’ve got! Or you could get lucky with a mild overcast day. Aim for 90 minutes before sunset to take advantage of “golden hour” light.
- Evening (7-8:30p) and weekend (Friday through Sunday) venue rentals are $500
- Deposits are non refundable, but you can transfer your time slot to another couple. Just post your appointment info on Bride to Bride Facebook groups and you’ll likely find someone excited to take your spot. Alternatively, if you’re looking for an urgent appointment during a peak season that is fully booked up, keep an eye out on public Facebook group posts for last minute Chapel Dulcinea appointment cancelations you can snag.
